What is Respite Care?
Respite care is temporary care for individuals who are usually cared for by a spouse, child, or other primary caregiver. The purpose of respite care is to provide short-term relief for primary care-givers.
Respite Care at Post Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
At Post, we believe primary caregivers are as essential and indispensable in a resident’s livelihood. It is just as important for caregivers to practice self-care as it is for the individuals they care for, and it is our honor to assist in enabling this. We offer Respite Care services on a short-term basis to ensure residents receive the highest quality care while their usual caretakers are unavailable.
We provide the following Respite Care services:
- Skilled nursing care, medical monitoring and treatment
- Getting dressed
- Bathing
- Using the toilet
- Eating
- Transportation services
- 24-hour emergency care
